Project Management Lead
Sam graduated from Deakin University in 2016 with a Bachelor of Construction Management (Honours) and a Bachelor of Design (Architecture). He has also completed an Advanced Certificate in Xero, further enhancing his professional skill set.
As the Project Management Lead at Will & Way, Sam plays a crucial role in overseeing clients' complex home modification projects. In this role, he works closely with Occupational Therapists to ensure their clients' home modification journey is seamless and tailored to their individual needs and goals.
Before joining Will & Way, Sam gained valuable experience as a quantity surveyor for a globally recognised organisation, working in cost planning, contract management, building information modelling (BIM), and company software development. He was nominated for the 'Young Achiever of the Year' award for Oceania for his contributions to the organisation's global BIM committee. Sam also has experience as a commercial and residential construction project manager in Geelong, Victoria, on both the contractor and client sides. This diverse background has equipped him with a broad skill set that he uses daily to work with key stakeholders and excel in his current role.
With over 10 years of industry experience, Sam is instrumental in helping clients achieve the modifications they need. His extensive knowledge of Building Regulations and Australian Standards, coupled with strong design and technical drafting skills, ensures every project is top-notch. Sam is passionate about accessible design, making sure everyone’s needs are met. His expertise and dedication to accessible design are enormously beneficial to the Will & Way team. He is also a member of the Master Builders Association of Victoria.
In addition to his role as Project Management Lead, Sam is also the General Manager at Will & Way. He oversees day-to-day operations and drives overall business development and direction. His role is pivotal in ensuring the team is happy, well-resourced, and capable of delivering safe, efficient, and high-quality services.
Outside of work, Sam enjoys spending quality time with his wife, son, and two energetic dogs. He also loves completing home renovations, jamming on his guitar, and trekking up to Numurkah to visit his family.
