Sam Cooper

Sam graduated from Deakin University in 2016 with a Bachelor of Construction Management (Honours) and a Bachelor of Design (Architecture). He has also completed an Advanced Certificate in Xero, further strengthening his business and financial management capabilities.

As the Senior Manager - Projects & Business Strategy at Will & Way, Sam leads the organisation's Home Modifications service, overseeing both the Building Construction Professional (BCP) and Building Works Project Management (BWPM) services. He works closely with Occupational Therapists, participants, builders, and funding bodies to deliver complex home modification projects that improve accessibility, independence, and quality of life. Drawing on his construction, design, and project management expertise, Sam provides strategic oversight throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring projects are well planned, carefully coordinated, and aligned with each client's goals.

Prior to joining Will & Way, Sam worked as a quantity surveyor for a globally recognised organisation, gaining experience in cost planning, contract management, building information modelling (BIM), and software development. In 2018, he was nominated for the Oceania 'Young Achiever of the Year' award for his contributions to the organisation's global BIM committee and represented the region at international committee meetings in Hong Kong and Auckland.

Sam has also worked extensively as a commercial and residential project manager across Victoria, providing him with experience on both the contractor and client sides of the construction industry. With more than 10 years of industry experience, he brings a unique combination of construction, design, project delivery, and business leadership expertise. His strong knowledge of Building Regulations, Australian Standards, contract administration, design coordination, and technical drafting enables him to successfully guide complex projects from concept to completion.

Alongside leading Will & Way's Home Modifications service, Sam works closely with the leadership team to drive business strategy, service development, operational improvement, and long-term growth initiatives. He is passionate about creating sustainable systems, strengthening partnerships, and delivering exceptional outcomes for clients and stakeholders.

Outside of work, Sam enjoys spending quality time with his wife, son, and two energetic dogs. He also enjoys building, playing guitar, and making regular trips back to Numurkah to visit family.
