Emma
Culture Lead |
Senior Occupational Therapist
Emma joined the Will & Way team in 2021 and quickly became known for her energy, enthusiasm, and extraordinary efficiency. A country girl at heart, she’s unflappable and up for any challenge, bringing a grounded, can-do attitude to everything she does.
Â
Emma spent several years working as an allied therapy assistant in inpatient neurology before graduating from Deakin University with a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy in 2018. She began her OT career working across the full continuum of care in public health settings in Geelong and West Melbourne. This equipped her with strong discharge and care planning skills, which she continues to draw on when supporting clients with complex needs to transition home or into alternative living arrangements.
Â
Since joining Will & Way, Emma has built strong skills in home modifications, assistive technology prescription, neurological rehabilitation, and capacity building. She is level-headed and cuts through the fluff to get to the heart of what matters, helping identify barriers and build practical solutions that reflect each person’s needs and goals. She’s a fierce advocate for her clients and isn’t afraid to hold people accountable. She also has a special knack for creating excitement and self-belief while making people feel safe and supported—the perfect climate for trying new things and building skills.
Â
As Culture Lead, Emma epitomises what Will & Way is all about. She’s thoughtful, fun, and fair. Someone people gravitate to and look up to. Her leadership is grounded in integrity, connection, and a deep commitment to keeping people at the centre of everything we do.
Â
Outside of work, Emma enjoys travelling, camping, heading back to her family farm in Seymour, and spending quality time with her husband and young son. She loves walking her very chatty golden retriever and is known for busting out dance moves anywhere, anytime. She also has a deep love for a cosy dressing gown and a serious sugar addiction. Whenever the team needs a sugar fix, they know exactly whose drawer to head for!
