Alison (Goes by Vicki)
Occupational Therapist
Vicki is a dedicated Occupational Therapist who brings warmth, resilience, and genuine passion to her practice. Becoming an OT wasn’t a spur‑of‑the‑moment decision for Vicki — it was a conscious, deeply considered choice. She returned to study later in life, bravely embracing the challenge of full‑time university while juggling parenthood, work commitments, and the isolation of COVID‑19 lockdowns. Her ability to not only manage these pressures but excel throughout her degree speaks to her extraordinary commitment, perseverance, and belief in the value of occupational therapy.
Before becoming an OT, Vicki worked in a wide range of roles, including several years as an Allied Health Assistant at Barwon Health. This experience, combined with her substantial professional background in leadership, client management, and group facilitation, has allowed her to hit the ground running in her early OT career. She brings a mature perspective, strong interpersonal skills, and a grounded understanding of how to support people in meaningful and practical ways.
Vicki cares deeply about people — about their stories, their strengths, and their right to live a life shaped by meaning, joy, and purpose. She is passionate about helping individuals reclaim or rediscover what matters most to them, using a trauma‑informed, holistic, and client‑centred approach. She has a particular interest in emotional regulation, social connection, and supporting people through times of change and vulnerability.
Known for her excellent attention to detail and her drive to improve systems, Vicki is always looking for new, more efficient ways of working that enhance consumer experience and support high‑quality, person‑centred care. Calm, thoughtful, and deeply committed, she is a natural problem‑solver who brings steadiness, curiosity, and heart into every interaction.
