Emma

Senior Occupational Therapist | Culture Lead

Emma graduated from Deakin University with a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy in 2018. As an undergraduate Emma worked as a therapy assistant. This role complimented her studies with practical learning and kicked off her passion for working with people with neurological conditions.

Prior to joining the Will & Way team, Emma worked as an occupational therapist in inpatient and community settings across Geelong and West Melbourne. Emma has strong skills in home modifications, neurological rehabilitation, assistive technology prescription and capacity building. Her experiences working across the continuum of care also allowed her to develop excellent discharge and care planning skills. She draws on these skills when supporting clients with complex needs to transition from hospital back home or into an alternative living arrangement.

Emma enjoys really getting to know people and what is important to them. She injects energy, enthusiasm and kindness into her work and is an effective advocate for her clients. Outside of her professional life, Emma spends her time walking her very chatty golden retriever, exploring the great outdoors and busting out dance moves.
