Occupational Therapist

Ella graduated from La Trobe University with a Master of Occupational Therapy Practice in 2018. Ella also holds a Bachelor of Health Sciences majoring in Rehabilitation Counselling, completed through La Trobe University in 2016, and a level three certificate in fitness.

Before joining the Will & Way team, Ella worked across several different practice settings in the public healthcare sector in East Melbourne. These opportunities allowed Ella to gain a broad range of experience supporting adults and older adults across the full continuum of care. Ella has strong skills in collaborative goal setting, prescribing equipment and home modifications, providing group therapy, and supporting people in building life skills.

Ella enjoys listening to people’s stories and discovering what is unique and important to them. She is particularly passionate about supporting people to engage in activities that cultivate more zest in life. Like spending time in nature, embarking on an adventure, exploring passions, and building positive relationships. Ella injects curiosity, enthusiasm and kindness into her work and always strives to ensure that her clients feel heard and empowered.

Outside of her professional life, Ella enjoys spending time at the beach; teaching her dog to stand up paddle board and trying to spot a breaching whale. She also loves to travel and never misses an opportunity for a camping trip. Recently Ella started taking both wheel and hand pottery classes as an outlet for her creativity.
